Behind theGenGet The Weekly Cut

What this is

Behind the Gen is a free library of real AI video workflows: the video, the tools, the copyable prompt, the steps in order, and the result as the creator stated it. It’s updated daily.

How entries are collected

Every entry starts as a public post: on X, Reddit, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or Hacker News, where a creator shared how they made something. We read the post, write up the steps in plain words, keep the prompt as close to the original as we can, and link straight back to it.

We embed or link creators’ videos. We never re-upload them, and we never edit, grade or caption their work. Poster frames come from the platform’s own thumbnail.

Anyone can send us a workflow. We check each one before it goes up.

Stated results

When a creator says a video got 400k views or made $1,200, we show it as they said it, marked “as stated”. We don’t verify those numbers unless an entry says otherwise.

Sponsors

Sponsors pay for one clearly labelled slot. They never change what goes into an entry, which entries we pick, or what we say about a tool. How sponsorship works.

Credit, corrections and removal

If an entry is your work, you can claim it, correct it, or ask us to take it down. Email hello@behindthegen.com from the account that made the post, or tell us the link and we’ll check. We act on removal requests within two working days.

If we’ve got a step, a tool or a credit wrong, the same address works.
